We asked ourselves the following question -

"Could we deliver to NetSuite users, the Celonis value outcomes delivered to our SAP user base ?"

To recap, we have published customer success stories in our short time as Celonis Partners, each of these customers have an SAP ERP – but what about NetSuite ?

This is what we have found so far :

  • Like SAP,  NetSuite records detailed digital footprints

Like SAP, NetSuite has detailed logging of creation and updates via change logs to master and transactional data. This is a pre-requisite to constructing and exposing the end to end digital business process.

  • Celonis and NetSuite integration works a treat

Using APIs and data connectors, we accessed the underlying NetSuite data confirming a rich data set enabling full use of process mining and automation capabilities.

  • The data models may be different but the business processes are the same.

We have been able to apply the same use cases that have been so successful in delivering value to our SAP customers to NetSuite. P2P Process cycle time optimisation, procurement policy performance assurance, payment behaviour, work order cycle time performance are some of those use cases.

  • NetSuite reporting has similar constraints and limitations as SAP

Unsurprisingly, a Google search on ‘NetSuite reporting’ revealed the typical list of issues that users have with their ERP - Rigid Reporting Templates, Siloed  Data Sources, Poor Visual Dashboards, Dependence on excel for Manual Workarounds {ref}

Now, flexible reporting and elegant dashboards are a key Celonis strength. This leaves ERPs like NetSuite to do what it does best -  enterprise transactional recording .

Celonis also solves the data silo problem by easily integrating non-NetSuite suites. For our NetSuite client, we integrated a legacy work order management system, enabling seamless data flow and process visibility across the sales, work order management, and finance functions.

  • Applying the value framework

It’s early days in our NetSuite journey however our customers are embracing the value capture methods built into the Celonis technology. This enables us to report back to the business the value impact of their investment over time.

If you are a NetSuite customer and are interested in learning how Celonis can help your business, feel free to drop us a line.
